July 1st  -  5th, 2014         Krems, Austria

The availability of learning platforms with several mathematical tools like CAS, Dynamic Geometry or Spreadsheets working under a common user interface and the use of communication media constitute the scope of the conference TIME 2014 entitled “Technology in Education & Research”.

TIME 2014 is open to all users of technology related to mathematics education or research. Also innovative pedagogical approaches can form the basis of a conference lecture.

TIME 2014 offers two additional points of interest:

  • "Development of new educational strategies in the information society" –this wider point of view of teaching and learning mathematics also takes into account the influence of communication media in a technology supported mathematics education. It is the emphasis of the co-organizer of the conference, the "Department of Interactive Media and Educational Technologies" at the Danube University.

  • "Technology on the way to a final central exam with obligatory use of technology" – a scope due to the special situation in Austria and Germany because of the use of technology in central exams. You can find more details  in the scope and the program of the teachers' day.
